Date of discovery: Sept 29, 2019
Location of discovery: Between Monoceros and Canis Major constellations
Tools: http://worldwidetelescope.org/webclient/

I was using the World Wide Telescope and discovered this strange object near Canis Major constellation. The object seems to be a fake sun with huge structures built at its center long cable like structures entering and exiting the glowing sphere. What I found here is a Dyson Sphere, a once hypothetical megastructure that completely encompasses a star and captures a large percentage of its power output.

A civilization might create such a sphere starting with one or two rings around the star. As time passed, a civilization might continue to add Dyson rings to the space around its star, creating a relatively simple, but incredibly powerful, Dyson sphere.
